Health Centered Coaching, LLC
About Lisa

Health Centered Coaching was created as a means to inspire people to design the lives they want, take action toward achieving that vision, and lead a healthier, more balanced life.

I am passionate about health promotion, wellness, and coaching, and derive tremendous satisfaction from supporting my clients, helping them to actualize their potential in all aspects of their lives.

"As owner of ProAction Physical Therapy and mother of two young children, I have turned to Lisa to help me to better manage my time.  Lisa is my trusted ally -- her attentive listening and practical way of thinking guide me in figuring out not only how to balance work and family, but also how to succeed at both.  Lisa understands my stresses and life demands, and my passion for physical fitness.  Her insights have made me realize the importance of honoring my own needs and taking time for myself without guilt.  Lisa is an excellent choice for a life coach."

Believing that living well usually involves more than one person, Health Centered Coaching, LLC also focuses on improving the culture of wellness in families, workplaces, organizations, and communities.

It is my delight and privilege to partner with clients to enhance their health and the quality of their lives, enriching their sense of purpose, meaning, and joy.

I serve my clients with deep respect, compassion, and sincerity, and am considered kind, open, and approachable. It is difficult to put into words how much I enjoy celebrating my clients’ successes with them.

I began my professional career in the health care industry in 1993 as a medical social worker, and later went on to counsel and then coach clients in health improvement and overall wellness. Over the years, I have worked extensively with individuals, couples, families, and groups with a wide range of health conditions. I have facilitated coaching and support groups for clients and caregivers in hospitals, medical practices, weight loss centers, schools, mental health centers, and community and corporate settings.

I now coach a diverse clientele, ranging from youth to the elderly, and appreciate the richness of my work and the joy that each individual and group brings to my life. A lover of human relationships and nurturing a sense of community, I consider it an honor and a privilege to partner with my clients on their journey toward enhanced wellness.

From first-hand experience, I have learned that simply wanting to make positive changes is not always enough. When helping people to achieve the ideal vision of their lives, I consider it high priority to find fun ways to incorporate important and lasting lifestyle changes. If something is fun, we’re all more likely to repeat it, so fun is a key ingredient in fostering change.

I view life as an adventure, with no evolutionary endpoint. For me, my vitality comes from engaging in a variety of stimulating interests and activities as expressions of fun, creativity, and play. When I am not coaching, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family outdoors in nature. I am a recreational runner, triathlete, and tennis player.

My life-long love of sports and movement began as a child when I first picked up a tennis racquet at an early age. I apply my passion for participation and full engagement in sports also to the game of life. Through sports, I’ve learned a great deal about handling ups and downs. I’ve also experienced the tremendous empowerment that comes from dedication, hard work, and commitment.

Tennis in particular has helped me to build character and shown me the importance of team work, friendship, and focus.

Training for marathons taught me how to work toward goals I once considered “impossible.” Reaching each and every finish line inspires me in other life areas, including my role as a mom to two very energetic boys.

As a life long-learner, coaching has become the perfect vehicle for me to channel my passion for wellness and self-growth into my work. I regularly attend professional conferences and workshops to expand my knowledge base and skills, studying extensively with world-renowned experts in the fields of coaching, health promotion, wellness, and health psychology.

As your coach, I will offer you a safe and caring space to discover your strengths and explore ways to cultivate a wellness lifestyle. We will strategize fun and effective approaches to reaching your short- and long-term goals, moving forward at a pace that is comfortable for you. I will provide unconditional support, feedback, structure, and accountability at every step along the way.

It would be wonderful to hear from you. I can be reached by email at Lisa@healthcenteredcoaching.com or by phone at (703) 867-7221.

Thank you for visiting.

Lisa Eidelkind
